If you cannot attend but would still like to support Southern Silks Stakes and the Arkansas children and their families Methodist Family Health serves, you can do so in the ways below.
Proceeds from Southern Silks Stakes will help us provide the best possible care to those who experience abandonment, abuse and neglect or struggle with psychiatric, behavioral and emotional issues. Funds raised from the Special Appeal will go toward our Christmas Present Fund.
The seemingly small details often have a significant impact on those in our care. Having essentials (like hygiene products, clothing, school supplies) & therapeutic “extras” (like sensory toys & art materials) allows our clients to focus on healing.
And when it comes to the holidays, we hope those in our care feel the joy of the celebration – despite the trauma they have endured or the hospital setting they may be in. That’s why we fulfill ~300 Christmas wish lists for clients in our residential, hospital, outpatient, day treatment school and Arkansas CARES programs.
But we need your support to do so. Help us demonstrate to those in our care that the community – people whom they do not know – values and cares for them.
